Dawn
On Tuesday November 8th, we got up early to see the lunar eclipse, the one where the earth's shadow falls on the moon.
We walked up Stratham Hill. On all prior visits, there was no one else. This time there were lots. I liked seeing the profiles of others against the coming dawn and the tower that I have climbed several times but not today.
It was a good way to celebrate Election Day.

Driver
Annie and Jim took us to Alnoba. It is many things that are positive including sculptures set in the grounds. I love the sense of speed.

Lunch afterwards
We walked a lot at Alnoba and were very happy to get lunch nearby.
The flags were at half mast as one of the Founders had died recently. He and his wife had a choice of where to spend their money and chose something that gives great pleasure to others.

Connie and her parents
Annie and Jim hosted a lunch at their house and then we went out for a walk
Note the leaves. I had never seen such a carpet before. Of course this carpet is everywhere. The leaves rustle as we walk though them.
Ice cream as part of the birthday celebration
Note the Flag
We came to this ice cream shop as I had asked a family as were were leaving the restaurant where was the best ice cream close by. It was good. We also heard that President Xi had visited another local one. It was however in the wrong direction. New England takes its ice cream seriously.
Anna creates a selfie
Taking the photograph and being unable to see one's subjects, is hard. Anna has done this before

Peace on the Great Bay
Annie and Jim arranged for a local guide, Dan Gardoqui to take us onto the Great Bay, a huge body of water that is directly connected to the Ocean and also walk around part of Adam's Point. It is a special place. Dan is a magician and showed us things that we could see but could not put into context.

Air Force One
We saw this plane make several passes with its wheels down. It was practicing something involving the local airport

Turkey Vultures
One day Connie and I went for a walk close to Adams Point and on the way home stopped for coffee. These birds were flying around above us. I had never seen so many together. The coffee was good but this was spectacular and memorable.
