The land was bought in 1971/72. The boundaries were marked with concrete posts with wires strung between. The fence posts are still in place although showing decay and a few knocked off vertical. The wires have disappeared.
Since 1972 houses have been built on either sde of the land. Trees were planted on both the westeren and eastern bundaries. There are no bushes/trees on the southern, seaward boundary.
The concern is the western boudary and how the wooden fence at the southern end has recently blown down onto our land. It was propped up in January 2020 by struts on our land. The struts do not look to be new.
What we are asking for the western boundary:
- all the damaged concrete fence posts are reinstated in their original locations and returned to being vertical
- when the wooden fence is rebuilt, its location is such that it does not need to be propped up by struts on the undeveloped land
- the struts to support the blown down fence are remove once the fence is secured
We offer to share the cost of restringing the wires between the concrete posts. This will help define the boundary.
