The marked "star" is acually the planet Uranus .
Not a spectacular sight in this picture , but then again you have to considder the distance .
Uranus lies way beyond saturn , and will show no more but a small disk in the largest telescopes .
Despite the small size it is bright enough to see in binoculars and small telescopes .
The strange color is the picture is heavy local lightpollution .
