Wallace House (also called the Truman Home), 219 North Delaware Street, Independence, Missouri, would be the home of Harry S Truman, on-and-off, after his marriage to Bess Wallace, on 28 June 1919 until his death on 26 December 1972. Bess Truman's maternal grandfather, George Porterfield Gates, built the house over a period of years from 1867 to 1895.

This is an old picture, but the place looks the same as it did five years ago when I took this shot.

This was kind of cool. There was a colelction of World War II combat photographs on display when we visited the museum. So, naturally, I took pictures of pictures. Some are terribly famous and we've all seen them, but som eare more obscure. Many, like War itself, are graphic.

Most of the photographs of this famous landing were lost, but a few remain.

I liked this picture. I liked further, the reflection of the glass. I've no idea why.

This is an awful picture, but the original photograph is so powerful and cool, I went ahead and posted this.

Notice the brain matter on the sidewalk. How completely macabre.

This one hwoever was clutching a grenade.
