Tornado: 04 May 2003

A major tornado outbreak occurred across the Kansas City area during the late afternoon & evening of May 4, 2003. Significant tornado damage had been reported in Kansas City, Kansas, as well as in in Gladstone & Parkville, Missouri. This was the first major tornado outbreak in the Kansas City area since 04 May 1977, when a large tornado struck the community of Pleasant Hill, MO.

I took some of these pictures, others I did not. I've tried to site which is which. These are in no particular order whatsoever. The photographs I took were with a Sony FD-90, that placed the images onto a 3.5" diskette.

You can see the path the tornado took. It crept right up the hill taking out every single thing in its path. However, it completely missed the house sitting atop said hill.
