This picture was taken in the late summer or early autumn of 1918 in Flint, Genesee County, Michigan. From what was written on the back of the original copy of this photograph, along with our own conclusions and input from older relatives, we've captioned it, shown above.

Isaac Justin Robinson (1858-1931) & Clarinda E. [Smith] Robinson (1862-1933). An original copy of this photograph is in possession of Salena Marie [Robinson] Mann.

We're guessing this picture was taken ca 1930, because of the car in the background. We're guesing further, because it's the same house as the one in the background for Clarinda, that this was the Robinson House. This shot was donated by, Nancy Ann [MacDougall] Evans. She is in possession of an original copy.

Our guess at this point is that her middle name was Edna. However, it's simply a guess. An original copy of this photograph is in possession of Salena Marie [Robinson] Mann.

Above we can see the marriage register for, Isaac Justin Robinson, (shown here as Justin) and his bride, Clarinda E. Smith, (shown here as Corlinda). This register was recorded on page two of the Sanilac County Michigan Marriage Index, for the years 1870 - 1879. Isaac & Clarinda were married in Speaker, Sanilac, MI on 13 April 1879.

Above we can see a scanned image of the death certificate of Isaac Justin Robinson, listed here as Isaac J. It shows that he died at home of Lobar Pnuemonia. It also shows his wife's name as, "Clarinda". The informant on the certificate was Isaac's youngest son, Justin Bernell Robinson.

Above we can see a scanned image of the obituary written for Isaac J. Robinson. This obituary was printed in the Flint Daily Journal, Friday 15 March, 1931. It was printed on page 04, column 01. This indicates he suffreed from a heart condition. This also shows his wife's name as, Clarinda.

Above we can see a scanned image of the death certificate of Clarinda Robinson, listed here as, "Crinda". My guess is, this is probably how she was referred. The informant on her death certificate was her daughter, Sarah Mary [Robinson] Murphy.

1880 - ca 1940

John Wesley Robinson, "Wesley", was the eldest of eight children born to Isaac Justin Robinson & his wife, Clarinda E. [Smith] Robinson. A draft card for the Great War shows he was born 12 July 1880. We find him in Bay City Michigan in 1930, again through census records. However, he's not listed in his brother Everett Daniel Robinson's obituary in 1954, which leads us to believe he was deceased by that time. To our knowledge, he was married twice & had at least three children, two of whom we can prove were girls. The original copy of this photo is in possession of Salena Marie Robinson Mann.

Arthur George Robinson: 1886 1960, was the 4th child of eight born to Isaac Justin Robinson & his wife, Clarinda E. [Smith] Robinson. He married Roselee St. Armour & together this couple would have ten children. We've no immediate photographs of Arthur George, however we do have his draft card for World War One.

1915 - 2004
Julia Amanda Robinson was fourth child, and the second girl born to, Arthur George Robinson and his wife, Roselee [St. Armour] Robinson. She married Anthony Lung 17 February 1933. Together this couple would share two children. They rest in Elk Cemetery, Elk TWP., Sanilac County, Michigan.

Nora Mae Robinson: 1917-2000, was the fifth of ten children, and the third daughter, born to Arthur George Robinson & his wife, Roselee [St. Armour] Robinson. She married Russell Batchelor, & together this couple would share four known children. She is buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Yale, St. Clair County, Michigan.

Shown above is the gravestone of Carl Everett Robinson. Carl was the eighth child, and the fifth boy born to Arthur George Robinson and his wife, Roselee [St. Armour] Robinson. Carls rests in Elk Cemetery, Elk TWP., Sanilac County, Michigan.

Linda Lee Robinson was the youngest daughter of Carl Everett Robinson and his wife, Dorothy Jean [Hudson] Robinson. Linda has a tragic story all parents fear. She was hit and killed by a car while crossing the street on her way to Kindergarten. She rests next to her parents in Elk Cemetery, Sanilac County, Michigan.

Private Everett Daniel Robinson served in an Infantry Division, 10th Regimental Combat Team, during the Great War. He enlisted, and went into combat, at thirty years of age. Shown above is a scan of the original photograph. It comes to us courtesy of Everett's great granddaughter, Salena Marie [ROBINSON] Mann. The physical similarities between this man and his grandson, retired Master Sergeant, David Arthur Robinson Sr., shown below, are simply astounding.

Tillie was the eldest of nine children born to Augustus Hahn u his frau, Amelia [Abend] Hahn. Tillie was born in Deutschland & came to the United States with her parents in 1907. She married first Everett Daniel Robinson. Together this couple would have seven children. Later, after Everett died, she married Paul Elsner. They would have no children together. Tillie is buried in the Robinson Family Plot in Forrest Home Cemetery, Newberry, Luce County, Michigan.

This is a picture of the Robinson House, Engadine, Mackinac, MI. This house burned down in 1962, and was replaced. Salena Marie [Robinson] Mann, is in posession of an original copy of this photograph

1898 - 1991 We're not sure when this picture was taken but guess it was sometime in the late 1970s. We changed it to black & white as the original was stained with something & no amount of photo editing could make it look right.

This was the barn on the Robinson farm, out in Engadine. We took this while visiting at Christmas time, 2006.

We included this picture as it's only one of two known of the couple, & will be of interest to all genealogists descending from Everett Daniel & Tillie [Hahn] Robinson. I'm guessing at the time frame, however it looks to be taken at the same time as the picture of, Tillie & Everett Robinson was taken, & we know that one was shot around 1952. It is noteworthy that the summer of 1954 must have been very rough on Tillie. She lost her husband in June & her father in Septemebr of that year. Harold is the sixth of seven children, and the second boy born to Harold Everette Robinson and his wife, Lucille Alena [Mattson] Robinson. He married Rita Mae Hiltunen in Newberry in 1971 and together, this couple would share two children. This picture was donated by their daughter, Amy Lynn [Robinson] Piar.

Here we see Harold in Munising, July of 1007. He's the greatest guy. He was exceptionally nice to his niece Salena Marie when we came to visit that summer.

This was taken of the two families on the wedding day of their children. Both David Robinson, and his bride, Lois Marie [ST. CLAIR] Robinson, were the youngest of seven children born to their respective parents. Wow.

Ethel Edith Robinson: 1922-1996, was the third of seven children born to Everett Daniel Robinson & his wife, Ottilla "Tillie" [Hahn] Robinson. She married first, Donald J. Wood. Louise was the sixth of seven children born to Everett Daniel Robinson & his wife, Ottila "Tillie" [Hahn] Robinson. She married 1st, Gerald Kenneth Hetrick. Togteher they would share four children. She married 2nd, George Raymond Mattson. Together this couple would have three children. Louise Pauline [ROBINSON] Hetrick Mattson passed away in Newberry, Luce County, Michigan on 31 March 2009. She's buried in Forest Home Cemetery, Newberry Michigan.
