Leavenworth National Cemetery

This is a National Cemetery, for Veterans of all branches of service. It's within 30 minutes drive time from our home, and these pictures constitute a days outing, paying respects. We have some people in our family buried here, but it's also a beautiful place to come and reflect upon our Nation, and the sacrifices made by some of its fallen Warriors.

I thought this was odd. The Coast Guard isn't even part of the Department of Defense, unless during time of War. Otherwise, it's part of Department of Transportation. Hmm.

Just a dreary day, but such a cool place. The gravestones all lined up is really something.
