Edward Ernest Coatney was the 3rd child of six born to William Henry Coatney & his wife Nancy Elizabeth Phillips Coatney. On 20 June 1900, in Washington, Washington County Kansas, he married Ida Virginia Banner. Together this couple would have four children. Ed, as he was known, was a plumber by trade and the Edward Coatney family made their home in Falls City, Richardson County Nebraska. Shown above is their wedding photograph. It was given to me by Iola Coatney, wife of my grandfather & son to this couple, William Edward Coatney. I am in possession of the original photograph.
