The bottom words look like a poem. To me it reads:

When life's toils and cares depart
And our Father calls at last
Wife and children all I love
Meet me in the home above

And my parents live 45 km´s from Karleby, Kokkola, where the Mattson part of your family origins from! Vasa is nearby too. Those are the Swedish talking parts of Finland, specially in Vasa the official language is Swedish. Karleby is bi-lingual and just a few miles inland from that people only talk Finnish.

The writing is not Finnish or Swedish.
Doesn´t is start with
1st line: "When life toils and are weary and our ....
2nd line: "And our Father and ..."
3rd line: "Wife and children..."
4th line; "Meet me in ... home above" something

But absolutely not Swedish or Finnish!
