Shown here is a sheet of ice covering the tree in our front yard.

This was taken from our front porch as the ice storm began, Monday evening.

Saw this in my friend's driveway. Instead of offering to help move it, I chose to take a picture of it instead.

These frozen mail boxes littered Gladstone.

The leaves hadn't even finished changing color yet when the ice hit.

This is just up the street from where we live. To the left is the very block in which I grew up.

A thoroughly horrible newspaper. Just right of Communist.

This bush is on the side of our driveway. Just cool as hell.

Again, the brown got caught by the ice.

I leaped from a heated car & pulled the camera out. Immediately the lens started to fog up. I pulled the trigger anyway, thinking it looked interesting.

Yes, we need to paint our house. As soon as you send us some cash for paint, I'm on it. The street light shone through the neighbor's home Christmas lights & cast a nice blue over the area.

Here's a nice tall ice covered tree in our back yard. I kept waiting to hear it fall on the neighbor's brand new truck.

I like this shot. I stood inside our garage & shot this picture of the rain falling outside.

I'm shooting pictures & my wonderful, more practical wife, is out picking up fallen tree branches. After I shot this we traded places. It was just so much fun to see her enjoy the winter weather. That girl of mine is so wonderfully beautiful.

First they scooped the ice from the road, then they salted.

In this case it means forty inches, maybe feet. Certainly not acres.

The neighbor's lights glimmering across the frozen snow made a nice shot.

Salena caught me piling up broken limbs over the fence to be hauled away later. Luckily, nothing fell on the car or the house, or the neighbor's car or house. I'm the blob under the orange stocking hat.

This captures broken tree branches along with frozen ones still attached to the trunks.

Years of rain, sun & snow have bowed the fence. I love this shot.

This is one of my favorites of the entire gallery. Salena Marie shot this in our front yard.

NO WATERBOARDING. Unless you're absolutely sure you can get away with it. Or if it will save some G.I.'s life. If that's the case, then I say ..... "Surf's Up".

Kind of a private joke. I shot this because it was beautiful. It's just up the street from where we live. You can clearly see the broken tree branches strewn about the front yard.

Salena Marie found all of these. I had no idea they were even back there.

You could hear it crack as it hit the trees.

There's a huge creek that runs up the street behind the houses. It's lined with trees and they were all frozen solid.

No more blooms for this year.

I kept finding new ways to take this same shot.

They just laid over from the weight. Honestly, they weren't that attractive in the first place.

The branches here were so low they were almost touching the street.

Good thing it didn't hit the house.

The street light coming in through the icy frozen branches was awesome.

A little too cool for any good. Quite frankly, I didn't know that bush was back there.

Majestic I thought. What a shot Princess.

You know if they deliver one piece of mail in this ice storm, that next year the price of a stamp will go up 10%? I hate those bastards. Screw the U.S. Postal Service. When I was a kid, a stamp cost .10 cents. I'm not that old.

Not sure why I took so many of this part of the street. It just looked good to me.

A few hours after this picture was taken, this whole street was a sheet of ice.

Nowhere to hide man; it's all ice.

It started to lean a bit a couple of summers ago. The frozen ground may actually help it stay in place.

More green plants from the back yard that had become frozen with the icy rain. I can't believe there was so much of this in my own back yard and I had no idea it was ever there.

As soon as it's melted I'll fix the bloody gutter dear.

This one was too much. The deep blue sky against the melting ice on our willow tree.

Three days and it all starts to go away. Now that's an ice storm I can live with.

The pieces of white you see in the middle of this picture is rapidly falling ice from the trees overhanging our street.

No more sledding.

The ice that clung to this tree actually broke it in half. Awesome.

You can't get this in San Diego.

One last of my favorite spot in our front yard. If I had only one to choose from, this would be the picture. Beautiful.
