ˇVayamos! (Let's go!) by Typeaux

Zmudowski State Beach (North of Monterey, California)

I had passed the sign for Zmudowski State Beach many times off Highway 1, but on this day decided to drive out a few miles through the vast artichoke fields to find it. There were two local Mexican Rodeo riders taking their horses through their paces and enjoying the long, empty stretches of beach. I really like the kinetic energy of this shot, along with the horse's enthusiasm and responsiveness to its rider.

Good thing you turned off to find the spot! I see what you mean about the 'kinetic energy' of the shot - the rider and the horse are getting 'feedback' from each other to create the motion that we see. You have to love the guy's hat though - he's really living the part :-)

Hey Typeaux,

You said in your post that ypur camera is really slow for motion/action shots, but you (and it) sure came through on this one. Great color too.
