I've always like fungus type photos....they seem so otherworldly..so much to the imagination.

Hi PhotoOwl,
Yes, it appears dank, but it is actually fairly dry there. This is located near a younger stand of sequoia (Sierra variety) and apparently like the nutrients found in this old stump. But it does smell lovely there. As for trio vs duo... perhaps, but I wasn't about to knock one of them off, and I prefer odd numbers of things (trained that way). To me, the triangle formed by the trio is more visually interesting than a straight line formed by two, but to each their own.

dark, dank, moody - you can almost smell it! Lovely. I feel it would have been better as a duo but it works this way too.
