This is a panorama of the Mall and Governor’s Palace in Colonial Williamsburg. You may want to view in 'large' mode to get an overview and then in 'Original' for detail. I was trying for 180 degrees, but fell a little short. The horse drawn carriage was one of the more difficult elements in this panorama. Serving as one of the bookends and starting the panorama, it is heavily in shadows. Two versions of the image were created in Photoshop, one with proper exposure to blend with the rest of the panorama and a second exposure for highlights (people in the carriage). The two images were then merged. About 25 shots were taken in the span of about 15 minutes. Parts from several of the images were cropped and then stitched to form this tapestry. In total, this panorama is approximately 11 images. Even reducing to this narrow view, still exceeded 500k -- my apologies to those on modems. The one anomaly of the couple walking and then later stopped to look at a map, I thought added a surprising touch, so I left it. All images were stitched manually in Photoshop. |
