The main focus of your photos for this challenge must feature the color “Blue”. It can be a still life blue … multiple items that are blue……..a very simple photo featuring just one ‘blue’ item. It can be man-made or a product of nature…just make sure it is ‘blue’. It can even be a portrait of someone in a ‘blue’ mood…but must have some blue feature in it. It can be light blue, dark blue, shades of blue, swirls of blue…baby blue, teal blue, navy blue, bright blue, dull blue….
You are also free to manipulate your photos as you please, converting it to shades of blue….the sky is the limit! Obviously, black/white conversions will not be acceptable unless it features one clearly ‘blue’ item.
Please give your photos a title.
The Challenge is open to all members of the Olympus Talk Forum, or the SLR Forum, who joined before the beginning of the challenge period and all Competitive entry photos must be taken with an Olympus digital or DSLR camera. The host has elected not to submit an entry nor participate in the voting. Members are limited to one Competitive entry per person, but you may submit two shots for the Exhibition gallery. The exhibition shots can be from any time and any camera.
The usual rules apply, HOWEVER, for this challenge your hostess has decided to waive the "Guidelines", and allow you to use any photoshop skills you might have to create something unusual in this "Am I Blue?" challenge. Let's just pull out all the stops for this one. Let's have fun with it.' The only things that are not allowed are Pano's (since they do not fit the size rule, and there should be no identification of the photographer on the photo. You may also create a frame for your entry. You may even have "Out Of Bounds" manipulations. Whatever you do, you MUST be sure you have retained the EXIF information.
Be sure to resize your photos to not exceed 800 on the long side, and the file must be under 200 kb. Send exhibitions and challenge entries to: be sure to put "Exhibition Photo" or "Challenge Photo" in the subject line.
Please don't forget to identify yourself by your ‘forum name’and make sure you include your entry's Title. Include your entry image as an attachment, not embedded in the message, to ensure that the exif will remain intact.
Challenge will begin Saturday, October 10th, at 10 AM Central Daylight Time, and end on Sunday, October 18th, at 10 a.m. Central Daylight Time.
