Home Town Pride

We have members from many corners of the world. What does your home town look like? What features in your town would you like others to see? Is it the church on the corner, the baseball diamond where the little leaguers are playing, the village ice-cream parlor? What about the local movie theatre, the skyline, the mall, or the park down the street? Show us something special from your home town.

Please give your submission a title, the more creative, the better. Do not reveal your location until after the voting period. All entries must have a title. The Challenge is open to all members of the Olympus Talk Forum who joined before the beginning of the Challenge period and the photos must be taken with an Olympus digital or DSLR camera. The Host has elected not to submit an entry or to participate in the voting.

The host has decided to drop the rules for this challenge. There are no limitations to creativity using any photo editing software. Imagine this photo will be published in a tourism brochure. Make it look ready to publish……….

Challenge entries (limit 1 per member) must be taken during the challenge period starting Friday, May 22, 2009 and ending at 10:00 PM CST on Sunday, June 7.

Everyone is encouraged to submit up to two (2) images for the Exhibition Gallery. Exhibition photos DO NOT need to be from an Olympus camera. Exhibition titles may include your location.

Challenge entries and Exhibition Gallery submissions should be sent to the following e-mail address: judyjo1@tds(dot)net ((substitute . for (dot)). The submissions MUST be sized to no more than 800 pixels on the longest side and under 200 kb.

Please use the word “Challenge” or “Exhibition” in the subject heading.

Be sure to include your Olympus Talk Forum name and a title for your images. Also, send the photo as an attachment as some e-mail programs strip the EXIF data from embedded images. Images without an EXIF intact will not be accepted.
