AH (Photophile)This is my favourite picture from 2007. It has C-750 written all over it! :-) I liked the spring flowers, the lush green grass and the bright reds on the bird. The lens (at near maximum zoom), f/4.5 seems to have hit a 'sweet spot.'

OkrebI have many pictures that I like equally well, but I'm posting the one that just earned me a POTD. |

RoelHendrickxTough challenge, to pick just one image of a whole year.
I'm really into photography only since March 2007.
Years of P&S before, but got bitten by the SLR-bug by way of the E-330.
Love that camera but still appreciate the ease of P&S and bridge also.
Selecting, I browsed through :
- bicycling pictures (with my then 1 week old camera : fond memories)
- courses camarguaises (bull running) : a very fun series to shoot
- really innumerable vacation pictures
- abstracts of lights and lighting
- portraits, macro
- attempts at B&W conversion etc.
Finally I decided on one with a story : probably not the best, but one of favorites because my kids really liked it. This is nighttime, handheld : a fragment of a neon sign at a fairground. The whole sign says "Barbe à Papa" (which is french for that sticky sweetness that I don't know the english name for : "Spun Sugar" (as in spinning wheel) maybe ?).
Anyway : my kids considered this something like a verbal self-portrait of their photo-crazy daddy ("papa" in Flemish). And now I share it with you

FaranyaI've been using my C8080 for a lot of Nature close-ups. Most of my shots are taken on my 4 1/2 acres, which include a pond, a river, wooded area, and meadow - as well as my gardens. So I have many great opportunities for macros and wildlife studies. This shot was one of a sequence, taken when my poppies were in bloom this past September.

MnstorytellerI dunno about "best," but I think this is my favorite. As with so much wedding photography, this was a desperate grab shot that wasn't planned, taken during a wedding that was exceptionally challenging to shoot.
And while I did my part okay, to me this is a portrait of a young woman who has forgotten herself for a moment while she thinks about her impending marriage. I think she has been made suddenly beautiful by what she is thinking about |

Les LovettHere is my favorite photo taken this year.
Baby Grebe on parents back. |

ROLI_PRHere is one of my favorites with the E-330. |

DigirameThis is one of my best, because we have to capture these surfers with the morning sun to be able to see the face. In cloudy and rainy Oregon, this doesn't happen a lot for two reasons. First we don't have a lot of clear days in the morning. Even if we don't have clouds, we can have morning fog. The second reason, is that a lot of the surfers don't hit the water until late morning or afternoon. With some patience, I was able to capture this one with the 40-150mm kit lens at Ecola State Park, Oregon. I would really like to capture one like this...with a surfer riding the waves...with the rocks and abandoned lighthouse in the background. Then I will feel I got something special. |

Wayne SuitorHere is my photo for "The best of 2007" gallery. I took the picture but the frame is by George Mock.
This picture is special to me because Nicholas is impossible to photograph and he did not want his pic taken this time. But his Sister grabbed him around the neck which made him smile, and that's when I clicked the shutter |

Pat LiuThis is my Favorite of 2007, it was taken on OCT. 20. 2007 at WV. NewRiver Gore Bridge Day |

Francisco VillegasI took this picture during, maybe, the most exciting and challenging trekking/climb I've done... it was to Kukenan Tepuy here in Venezuela in "Canaima National Park".
The top of a Tepuy is something different to anything else, is hard to describe in words, the variety of plants that exist only there, the rock formations, the incredible clear water, weather cold but sunny, clouds around you... everything is fantastic.
I title this picture "Elements", because reflects part of things I said before. |

Canadian ClubThree plane formation with the Stearman and two Chipmunks. We are starting our low and over on runway two five in tight formation.
In the background is the Detroit River and in the upper right is Lake St. Clair. On the other side is Detroit, Michigan, USA. |

XopherI guess the following one is my favourite. I'll call it "Freedom". Xopher

This was taken on the morning of 16th April '07 with E-1 and with 14-54 lens f/7.1, 1/320, ISO 100 |

JudyjoWe came upon this beautiful eagle sitting in the middle of the road eating. When we approached, it flew up into a pine tree. Luckily, I had my camera with me and had just gotten a new lens, Sigma 170-500. This was a great chance to try it out and the eagle posed very nicely for me. I especially liked the background of green pine needles and yellow leaves. |

Mn88Here's my best of photo. Probably not my best bumble bee photo, but I really took a liking for these prickly critters this summer. This one shows what I like best about bees - the reflections off their wings. Too bad there's not a big market for bee photos! :)
