On Monday, as practice for all involved, we went for a day hike. Sam left early, but not early enough to climb Mount Langley. Everyone else left a bit later with time enough to get to the first of the Cottonwood Lakes, about 3 miles away from our campsite. This gave Sandy and Cynthia a preview of most of the hike up to High Lake, and gave us all a bit of exercise at altitude for good acclimatization.
