One last view of Mid-Pal and Norman Clyde from the top of the headwall. It was a nice fast hike out. We made it in almost exactly three hours with time to stop, or be stopped, on the way to listen to a guy telling tall tales about his impending climb of Everest for his 79th birthday (less than a month away), his swimming at the North Pole, and standing naked at the South Pole for 17 minutes in -78 degree weather. We kept expecting to see orderlies from a nearby institution searching for him.
