This stately building has roots in the First National Architectural period which was planned by Architect Vedat Tek. He even oversaw its construction in 1902.

The two stories of the building are placed above a well preserved foundation. The main entry on the first floor is reached by a several levels of stairs and four columns adorned with an oriental archway. Above of the second floor windows nice scriptures over green tiles adorns the walls. In style the building presents an eclectic mixture of Western Classicism and Ottoman Orientalism. In its 102 years existence, this building continuously served as the Government center in Kastamonu.
