Among many things please notice the sarcophagus here in this museum. You may have already seen many of them elsewhere however; in this museum you will find two distinct types together. Please look at the differences in the photos of 146, 154 and 155 from the rest of the others. These three have the statues of someone lying down on the sarcophagi lids. Now they are different than the ones which have roof like features on top of them. The ones that have some on lying on them were commissioned to have their likeness carved into the stone/marble. In addition there is also a unique sarcophagi called the Medallion sarcophagi which has the Alexander the Great’s face carved on its sides.
