Sammi is a touch hound to photograph. She typically jumps right down so on this one we loaded a basket with some books and fabric then put her in there.
She jumped down once. I made barking dog noises to get her head like this with less of a stressed panting.

I used a medium-large softbox positioned about 30° off axis of the camera and 15° higher with a reflector to my right.
Only editing was the hue/saturation to make it grayscale and then a simple black vignette.
