I love the peace of kayaking here in Michigan.
I haven't been out too many times this year and neither has a friend from work
so we threw the boats on my car and hit the big boring river. It turned out that this stretch of the river was excellent -- although it didn't move too fast.
We saw a few turtles, blue herons, and very few houses in the 5 miles on the north east side of Grand Rapids.
