This is the 1955 first series ½ ton 3100 which was
manufactured and sold through January, February & March
for sale until March 25, 1955 then the new 1955 was introduced.

The model year 1955 had two series as you may know. The First series was produced from October 1954 until March of 1955 hence the "first" designation. I have one of these rare trucks produced at the Oakland, CA plant. Serial number H55O00$&**, H = half ton (3100),
55 = 1955, O = Oakland, and the production run of 00xxxx corresponding to its actual original unit.
