Thought it was a young fellow, but see that it is actually an older guy. Good series of shots Geoff! Totally sad that many homeless are military vets. Should never happen after the sacrifices they have made.

This is a well composed picture of a homeless man wearing swimming goggles to protect his eyes - if an ex serviceman, like so many homeless people here in UK, it is a disgrace, and, being cynical, it does save in pension payments as so many on the streets do die younger as have some that are on my Flickr pics

1/3 of homeless men and 1/2 of homeless women in the US are military veterans. It is a national disgrace.

I noticed "U.S.S. Enterprise" on his bookbag. Is this guy a former serviceman??? If so, it's really sad that someone who served his country ends up homeless...
