"To dress outside the social norm gives the appearance of being a "loose" westerner-- not only does this causes a loss of respect, it invites lewd behaviors." quoting a remark on the net about this place. This man really beats them all, but where to find such socks to walk along the Chottiwalla Festival procession ?
His way of dressing is not an exception here, keeping up the appearances most important, it shows off your holiness as a Sadhu, maybe a typical North-India socio-culture aspect ?
