About three hundred years ago the king Pandian was ruling over Madurai. He was so fond of fish that he compared the eye of God with that one of a fish. Honoring his father, the son of the king builds in his legislature the Temple Meenakshi. Meen is the Tamil word for fish and akshi for eye, so the Eye of God.
Still you find this symbol of the fish used on the houses on the country side. Above you see the arrow of Murugan hold by the Peacock, his transport. Murugan is a typical Tamil God, it’s the God of War.
Here you see Ochu cutting a coconut to offer the juice to his guests. His mother of 62 years old was watching him. ( next photo a portrait of his mother).
A great day today as Deepak’s support for Ochu arrived from the bank on Indian time …. two days later !
He was really surprised !
