With the age the tolerance towards too much sun becomes less.
So you see a lot of elder people with an umbrella to protect themselves from the hot burning sun here.
We use it for the rain, here it is also very convenient for the sun.

Don't get overexposed ! You can become sun-allergic like me after 4 sunstrokes on a row, no it was not an attempt to become as skin colored as a Tamil, it happened on driving the motorbike without an umbrella ..... :))).
