I saw these ladies with those colorful saris from the north entering the Meenakshi Temple and sitting down near this old tree, wondering what they were doing.
Walking by, I discovered this little Ganesh or Elephant God looking over their shoulders. I had never noticed this small statue before ... thanks to them I discovered it for the first time.
They were lightening a small oil lamp and protecting it from the wind with a small piece of pottery and after a little prayer they left the Temple again.
So that was their God to pray to, for blessings of a starting day at 10 o'clock in the morning.
A one time candid as shot.
