Inner court of the Palace, most of the buildings are connected to each other with green patio's in between. The roof is enlarged to keep out the hot sun and the heat from the tiles can cool off as they respire air, still the hot air can escape on top windows created in a inventive way. Maybe Frank Lloyd Wright inspired himself on this roof for his architecture.
There is only one roof that can beat this one for isolation to the heat and that is a coconutl-leave roof. The desadvantages of these roofs are vermins and every year you have to repair as the sun dries the leaves out till they breaks to dust. But the material is cheap.
