Finally Kanyakumari, the southern tip of India, meeting three seas: the Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean and Arabian sea. In front lies Sri Lanka.

I got up very early to get this shot at 5:37 in the morning and by the look I was not alone to do the Surey Namaskar or the greeting of the sun.
Here a view over the fisherman-bay and the pier from where you take a boot to go this two islands in the sea. One island is dedicated to Swami Vivekananda, who meditated here in 1892 before setting out to America to spread a message of social justice. And next to it you find the huge statue of 41 meters high of Thiruvalluvar, the honoured Tamil poet, who 2000 years ago created Tirukkural, a great masterpiece of 1330 verses dealing with virtue, wealth, love, envy..... It has been a code of living, a bible, for many South Indians.
