A work called 'We' from Buthayna Ali on the 10th International Istanbul Biennial. She was born in Damascus and in all her installation works, she focuses on the contradiction of her milieu.

Izzet [keribar] invited us to visit this exposition and we gladly went over there this Sunday morning to avoid the heavy rainy weather here in Istanbul.

Proudly Izzet showed us already this installation on the LCD of his camera with a beautiful lady and shortly after he took us there ... but the lady was gone ... no problem, I said, and I went out to look for one ...

There she was, sitting just outside. No problem, she replied, when I asked her to pose in my best not Turkish but English:).

Afterwards I asked her, besides her mail-address, if she knew the photographer Kerribar ... 'Yes' she said and she was really astonished when I told her that Kerribar was just now taking photos of her together with us.
