1 East Coast Road would be vacated for the government to do re-development. A SMRT station may be sitting on the land where these blocks current are. The government has given the residents till 2015 to relocate to Chai Chee. For the last 30 years, this area has been my home. I have seen the wet market make way for Siglap Centre, I have seen a kampung make way for landed property. My duty is to document all these fast disappearing locations that represent what I viewed Singapore as back in the 1970s....
