Martha's Vineyard is a little Island off Cape Cod Massachusetts about 23 miles long and 9 miles wide. Consisting of six towns and a year round population of around 20,000, the Vineyard boasts five lighthouses, native Indians (Wampanoags), glacier formed cliffs, miles of sandy shores, gingerbread cottages, whaling captain's homes, fishing villages, farms, birds, and of course tourists.....plenty of tourists. November is one of the peaceful months where the influx of tourists have gone, the weather is cool, the foliage has begun, and a walk on the beach is worth it's weight in wampum shells!!!
