I salvaged the hoist inspection cover off it. I still have it.

I was on that bird. I nearly drown bailing out into the water, about 4 feet deep at the time, with my 100 pound ruck.

This 46 had clipped some trees on the way in...The damage you see is from the Spector disabling it..The Rangers had to hoof it down the beach to get extracted. I clearer that AC of the 50..I broke it down and chunked the parts in the ocean..The Ranger left their rucks and some weapons on the beach..I broke those down also throwing them in the ocean as well.. 1st plt Aco 2/325th, Chaulk 1 # 55. Plt RTO

Also a Marine Cobra was shot down. This was for the Rangers (LTC Hagler) rescuing the students at Grand Anse.

this was one of the CH 46's sent in to St Georges Grand Anse campus, thats Grand Anse beach if I am correct

CH-46 shot down possibly by AA fire from inside the Soviet Embassy compound in Grenada.
