I made the roof rack from plywood and some items that were salvaged from around the desert. On the passenger side I mounted a couple of fans and attached some plastic mesh to the framework so that my cat wouldn't get out at night (we camped in a lot of remote areas and it wouldn't have been safe for her to be out by herself at night).
