Great perspective and color.

Gorgeous lighting through the petals. The exposure on the rose is great. I like the three layers of focus on this image. The fine detail on the flower, the blurred stonewall and the bokeh above. All combined to make a wonderful image.

Marc I want to thank you for the nice comment. This was shot raw converted to tiff then sized to 800 ppi tiff then converted to jpg.

But before reducing the size and converting to JPG I did apply a small amount of dodged to the petals to enhance the light that was already there.

I also applied a small amount of burn to increase shadows on the edge of the petals and the green leaf.

Normally I would try something to reduce the boring and intrusive white sky but I thought there was enough green from the tree to help with the distracting its glare.

Excellent exposure on the petals. Is that a native jpeg ? Well done... and i like the view. I'm not that fond of the white sky, but that was mandatory.

Nice composition and colour

I love the soft light that filters through the petals; I often prefer overcast conditions for the subtleties of tone and the lack of glaring highlights. This is an ethereal, delicate image - very beautiful.

Yes the E3 live view helps immensely with views like this and the light is Gods overcast day

The light of the flower and stem is really very nice, good bugs-eye view as well.
