Aged boots - WirenL

Oregon

Old boots + hot day = Hot Shoe

I liked the way this looked in b/w, with a little lens vignetting in LR, made it look like they came from out of the big war, and since they were my great grandfathers who served in the big war, I thought it was fitting.

Thanks for the tip, up the f-stop, I will remember that the next time I want more clarity to the background, thanks for lookin' anyway.

That's looking better in b&w. The tool makes it for me, giving a more natural setting. You could even go up to f/3.5 or f/4, it would add clarity to the top of the left shoe, giving a better reading way to the pic. Good job anyway !

Thank you for your very nice comments Shirley (& Endika), very nice to hear your thoughts. I spent quite a while that day trying different things and was please with the way they all turned out (which was better than I originally thought they would). I am glad to hear your thoughts on the composition of this shot mirror my own, I already have a copy on order to hang at my mother's house she liked the shot so much.

I love the composition and conversion on this shot. The ol' garden claw laying there is a nice added subject and the tipping of the back shoe is great. You did a really nice job with all 3 shots.
