Great shot! There's a story here, and the cat's expression helps to convey it. He looks so intently focused on the boot.

In addition to the others' thoughts, I'll mention the nice contrasts here: hard steel/soft fur; big guy/little cat; dark interior/bright exterior; anchored boot/antsy cat. I love it, Brent. Great way to start the gallery.

I like the intensity in the eyes of the cat. Fish in the shoe ?

Very nice. I like the composition and the B/W does it justice.

Cat's pose ( head and shoulders) fit the tittle. Like he/she will move any moment to show you the way and eyes are question mark.
Very nice maestro.

Great perspective in a well composed image. The cat looks a bit sceptical about the approaching giant.

Great perspective! No live view on that shot!

Excellent, what a shot to start the competition with!
Perhaps the cat is thinking "can I come in, have you got any food"

I like this photo. It has a very nice appearance of casual shot, as if your camera fell down and the shutter acted by itself. endika

Sheesh, I get to day dreaming and I forgot to even tell you how much I love the shot! I love how the cat has a look of anticipation about the person on the other side of the door. You're going to have to invest in the E-3 or even grab and old 330 to keep you off the floor! LOL I love this perspective.

What a pretty cat. I am wondering where those steel toed boots are going? I had to wear those things a so many jobs! You get used to them.
