This makes me think of mustard gas or something equally noxious. Even the mist rising from the water looks dense and unappealing. The light is fitful and sickly.

Very effective treatment of this subject!

My God, Apocalypse is here already. Not a pretty sight, but it shows very well what the human are capable of to produce some energy. right on theme, Brent.

Strong image with a statement. The color treatment really makes the toxic waste look venomous and scary. Really well done, Brent.

I really hope that is not the natural colour, otherwise I would go in 50 miles of this place!
Really is a great shot though, the contrast of the smoke against the sky with the sun trying to break through and the mist rising on the lake/river combine really well.

Great image Brent! It sure isn't green energy. It's energy representing power that allows us our comforts and energy that adds to the advancing climate change. Well done!

These days, there's a lot of talk about "clean coal," but I won't believe it until I see it. Still, as long as we use 4 times more energy per capita than any other country on Earth, we'll be burning coal for a long long time. And living with the consequences so poignantly depicted here. A very moving image for me, Brent.

Great tones and treatment here. This stuff coming out of the stacks is way more yucky than coming off the nuclear cooling tower a couple of pictures up. A nasty way to make energy that's for sure.
