Cathedral of Industrial Decline, by Alistair

Just up the road from Richard Arkwright's original 1771 Cromford Mill is a more modern and less successful derilict industrial complex.

Interesting puzzle in lighting, really like how the left side foreground has a splash of light, but the window is almost dark with the window on the right much brighter, balancing the image.

Perfect balance of lighting from top right to bottom left. Composition is excellent. You've been very kind to industrial sprawl with this capture :)

Looks very good in this low light. I'm sure it is not the case in the daylight. very nice indeed.

This composition is so simple that becomes hypnotic. I like very much how the scene starts in mid tones in the lower left side and ends in extreme contrast in the upper right side. endika

The composition is academic ; well spotted, and well shot.

Wow Alistair! Perfect thirds! Beautiful geometry - it has the upright dominance of power - though the shadows feel like they are hiding things - (wonderful light coming in from the left) Just a very cool, well balanced shot with excellent light!
