01-NOV-1963 Catman

My Bride Dec. 1963 - Catman

This is the most beautiful low key image I could find.
I used a Yashica Twin lens reflek camera and kodak plus X pan film ASA 125?

other sizes: small medium large original auto

A remarkable dip into the net of memory -- lovely portrait of a beautiful lady. November 1963 was such a memorable month; when was the wedding date?

Brent, thank you for the nice comments about my wife, Yes I know exactly were her purse is and we know exactly how to communicate without speaking and we often will suggest something to do that the other is thinking about.

45 years of marriage sort of makes a couple one. I would have no other way.

She is opening the wedding shower gifts at her bride maid’s house.

There was very little light coming through one window which accounts for the lighting. I did not know that I was taking a low key picture at that time. It was a lucky accident

I wonder if you can tell how many years you have been married by where your wife leaves her purse when she is home? So is this opening up the wedding presents after the wedding. Your wife is a very beautiful woman - you must have so many wonderful stories that you have shared in. She looks so feminine in ways that young women of today so seldom are (if you know what I mean?) Love the light and the deep story within (over 35 years of shooting picts? You must have some archive!)

Nice photo, Richard. IMO, some cropping of the right side will be better.

Well, you should go ahead and print this one!

this was scanned from a 2X2 negative. I never printed it because back then I did not have the money. I have tons of these that I scan into my comtuter on occasion. Some are very bad, and some are surprisingly good. I love this one and my wife said, when she saw it, wow I really was thin once.

This is a very good shot indeed, can't beat real organic b&w for tonal range.
I thought at first this may have been someone dressed for a period play!
