Devotion by endika

Quite typical, I know, but I have not been able to resist the temptation when I have seen these red candles :o)

The light is so warm and richly-colored, it almost looks like one could grasp it in the hand! This is a gorgeous shot, both calming and vibrant (not an easy combination). I suppose this is also true of prayer or any devotional act; we expend our spiritual energies in an attempt to be heard, and hope to feel somehow soothed and reassured afterwards.

Well... really not: I've decided to confess all my faults in one, in order to have some discount in the penitence (miracles of the economy of scale) :oP endika

Hopefully you went to confession after to speak of your temptation. ;-)
Fabulous shot.....

Thank you for your comprehension of the human weakness! Really I have not been able to resist the calling of these little trembly lights in the dark of a wonderful church which is Holy Mary of the Sea in BCN. endika

Don't resist anymore, anytime, just shot. You are good at that and full of ideas.

Devotion and temptation both in one shot! :o) I don't blame you Endika, they make for some very lovely shots. I happen to really like this one a lot! There are just some things you can't stop photographing no matter how senseless it might be and for this shot, I'm glad!
