Alistair, this image is so fabulous in it's simplicity. I like how the clouds follow the contour of the landscape. The trees in the foreground completes the scene.

This is so lovely - the tranquil atmosphere is so tangible one could almost inhale it! Interesting depression, in which the trees are growing. I'm wondering what it signifies.
Re: my seagull shot - yes, it was done with the new 70-300. I was also quite close. I'll post a note to that effect with the shot.
