Images like this and of this subject are very interesting to me… living here in the new world leaves a sense of little connection to past but this appears to help fill in what is missing. I like your treatment of the subject.

there is simply so much in this shot Geoff - stunning. I think I like the use of B&W, although part of me wonders if the stone work colours would also look aged enough to contribute as the monochrome? the perspective works well drawing me in to look more closely........everywhere. another image that doesn't get full justice on a small screen I suspect.
