Thanks everyone. Gerry is a darling....really. He could certainly but would not hurt a flea under normal circumstances. I will consider cropping that light Brent, but I dare say I love to make people walk around a bit in my pics. I think with it gone it does loose tention. But I think I like that tension!. Endika.....some woman emailed me out of the blue after seeing my website. She commented on how honest much of my stuff is. I will take that comment any day so thanks.

I watch this photo, and I have the feeling that it has something in common with your precedent posts, in the 58th challenge, although the themes are so different. I think that finally I have caught it: authenticity. endika

The eye with the light looks semi-reasoning. The other eye looks very willing to tear you up.

Probably the nicest guy...

The light on the far right really competes for attention, which causes tension in the pict - IMHO I would crop it.

Excellent Charlie - wouldn't like to have an argument with him though!

Hi all....thanks for the comments. Gerry is a very intense but lovely person. He is a "regular" at the bar down the street. This was totally candid as I just started shooting to prove a point to the bartender. Gerry was a very good sport. His eyes are strangely irridescent and sharp.

Looks like a glass eye Charlie. Very strange. Great portrait though!

I'm sure it is just the way Gerry is captured but he has a look that you would find in the old Sunday matinee movies on t.v. when I was growing up (which were always scary flicks). Alfred Hitchcock would have loved this guy!!! His eyes definately are the draw here. Really a great shot Charlie and next time tell Gerry to give you a smile! I bet it would change his entire look. ;o)

Who's Gerry ? Looks like somebody with a harsh but true way of telling things. Can you expand a bit Charlie ? I like it a lot, by the way. Spontaneous !
