Southsea Castle Lighthouse, by Alistair

Built in 1820 on the site of Henry VIII's Southsea Castle, which guards the entrace to Portsmouth Harbour, an important naval base for centuries.

I love the softness of the sky and the history is quite nice too! Our history here in the states is sooooo different then that of Europe. We have history but it is just a drop in the bucket compared to yours. Anyhow, this is a great Lighthouse shot.

I like it, especially the darkening of the sky at the top of the picture.
