Brent, black-eyed or brown-eyed I love this photograph! Oh, maybe you were thinkin' of black-eyed peas? Gotta eat those on New Year Day for good luck or to prosper or something like that. I try to remember. Anyways like I said, I love all these pretty bursts of sunshine!

LOL My brother used to have a joke about mooning people and giving them the "rosey brown eye". I looked it up, having heard of black eyed susans but not brown eyed susans. You are correct!

Are these maybe Brown Eyed Susan daisies? I don't know my flower names very well but I guess I would have called them that, and probably been wrong LOL I think these are the flowers the Golden Finches just go after big time! This is really a beautiful picture of these flowers, the details are great! I love how the darker yellow fades to bright like little bursts of sunshine.
