Thanks Brent,
I do appreciate the DOF made available by the 4/3rds sensor. It really helps with both the macros and telephoto shots. Since I rarely shoot landscapes, I can't verify on the need for more megapixels but suspect that Jono is correct.

This is the twin flash, you can see the reflections of both heads in its eyes. I was not able to fully appreciate the twin flash with the Oly macros because of lack of working distance from the front of the lens. I am really enjoying it with the Sigma macro.

Adrian, I always enjoy your comments, thanks.

This is a truely incredible shot, Bob. I bet you are one of the people that really appreciate the smaller sensor/ greater DOF that Oly offers. Some landscape photogs have complained that the detail does not hold up well in larger prints for foliage in a < 10mpix camera - do you find the same for macros? I assume this is the twin flash? The lighting is just superb.

I want to thank you Bob for coming back into the group after a bit of a hiatus. It is great to have someone who knows when he knows what he is talking about. Looking forward to another year of growing friendship!

now those eyes on the back of the head would be handy! fascinating.

Thanks everyone,
The nice thing about the Sigma 105mm macro is that even with the EX-25 and the EC-14 attached, I still have about 3" (76mm) working distance from the front of the lens to the subject.
Shirley, these guys are so tiny that they just look like a spot on the wall to me.

Very cool macro shot. Terrific detail! Must be hard to 'sneak up' on this fellow!

Wonderful shot! I hate spiders, but would love to get a shot like this one.

Okay so this is a good one with nice bright eyes too but I really hate spiders and Jumping Spiders are not an exception. They can JUMP! :o) I've been biten by spiders so many times and they aren't fun bites. Still I will admitt you did a fine job of taking his photo.
