The Pioneer Run is organised by The Sunbeam Motor Cycle Club and in 2006 celebrated its 68th run from London to Brighton. To be able to take part in the Pioneer Run you have to have a certified motorcycle, tricycle, or motorcycle and sidecar, that 'left the factory' before 1st Jan 1915.
Over 300 attended the 68th run, a credit to the builders, riders and enthusiasts who keep the machines on the road.
Great stuff Kevin,
This something you don't see every day. I can't help but hear Richard Thompson music when I see your vintage bike pics. Great kick off to the challenge.

What a great story and start! Right away when I saw the center photo I thought of the movie "The World's Fastest Indian". If memory serves me it was a 1909 Indian that still holds a few land records. I love the series here. Brighton looks like an interesting place all on its own! Wonderful photos!!
