Time Passages-Shirley
by Shirley Haden

Taken while driving home from Kansas along Highway 50. First of all it's a miracle it came out at all because I was driving when I took it and then it was getting darkish out and the shutter was so slow I figured it was not good at all. There's an apparition in a window too.

Wow, thank you all for such nice comments and so fast! I better get busy, I keep looking and drooling over all your shots and I feel so poor at giving constructive feedback cause 99% of the time you all don't need any!

Katherine, there are so many abandoned houses in rural Kansas that it is a photographers dream for those and windmills, barns etc... You'd love it there for a few days LOL
Flick, maybe someday you'll be able to come for a visit too. It's fun to see different countries housing. You're right, we seem to all want our houses to be different then the one next door. Sorta like not wanting to wear the same dress to a dance. :o)
Gus.. thank you so much for the kind comment!
Brent and Endika, hummmmm who should I listen to? LOL One say More More and the other says Stop Stop! Humm I will most likely follow Marc's advice ;o)
Gerard...I like that Hoover thought! I might have to call these the Vacuume Series to go with the dashboard shots.
Thanks again everyone!

Great shot Shirley. Perfect for this theme as well. Alistair

Great shot - I love the way it looks like the whole thing is being ucked away to the right by a giant hoover, colours and lighting are beautiful
cheers Gerard

Very good speedy shot Shirley, i'd like to see more too. Be cautious, though !

I like the story of shooting out the window - dashboard Shirley is at it again. It really has a neat dynamic to it. Hope this is a beginning of a series from you (hope to see more).

I'm thinking Andrew Wyeth on this one. Thought of him when I first saw this shot. It's really wonderful. Guswitte

Very very nice Shirley! Plenty of charm.
But please, you don't take photos while you're driving... it can be more dangerous than parachuting without parachute ;o) endika

seeing as I have a passion for old houses, this one peaks my interest. The colors blend so well along with the motion. I wish I was there to explore it. Katherine

Love it. Very evocative.
I'm always intrigused by American housing as well. We have (as you know) a varieety of building materials, but there you have so much clapboard - yet every house seems individual.
Flick.

I really like the grainy feel along with the motion blur in the foreground, and the story really makes the image. --- Woody
